The primary materials of this product range are multilayer, shrinking TOP-barrier polyamide artificial casings. The special FKN artificial casings are “Natural Form Imitation” casings, which mimic the amorphous form of the natural intestines. They can be used to produce rustic-looking products with a long shelf-life, eliminating the microbiological and other product safety issues and limitations, which occur when using natural casings. They are easy to use and have an overfilling capacity of around 5-8%. Our FKN artificial casings are recommended for liver-based products, patés, hams, cold cuts and pre-cooked meat products.
